[Official warning] Beware of social media accounts impersonating Le Palmier Hotels & Resorts
As scams grow more sophisticated, people impersonating the Le Palmier Hotels & Resorts brand for profit are on the rise. Recently, Le Palmier has seen several cases of guests being defrauded after dealing with fake fan pages or individuals using names and images very similar to our official channels.
To avoid losing money and spoiling your trip, please:
- Book only through our official fan pages.
- Check the website, hotline and email carefully before paying.
- Ask staff for a video call or real photos to verify if in doubt.
- Never transfer money to any account other than the hotel's official details.
In one case, a guest transferred a large sum to a fake fan page with a name very close to “Le Palmier”. It used our logo, photos and introduction, so the guest believed it was a trusted booking channel. After paying, the guest received no confirmation and could no longer reach the page.
1. Common impersonation scams
There are many online booking scams. Most scammers build a “trustworthy image” by sharing transfer receipts and past customer reviews, then lead buyers on with different tricks:
1.1. A “real” booking that is then cancelled
The scammer sends a genuine hotel booking code (from lepalmier.vn, Agoda, Booking…), then cancels it as the main booker once the money arrives, so the guest cannot use the service.
1.2. Unrealistically cheap prices
Playing on the wish for a bargain, scammers claim to have “internal” or “special” allocations and offer prices 1–2 million VND per person below the published rate.
1.3. Fake perks – points and upgrades
Some pose as agents promising Le Palmier points or upgrades to free nights, which only Le Palmier's official channels can provide — official website: lepalmier.vn.
1.4. Fake “verified” fan pages
Some create fan pages with the same or similar name, copy our content and even show a blue tick through verification loopholes to win trust and take payments directly. Warning signs:
- The page changes its name after gaining interactions.
- Phone numbers that do not belong to our system.
- Pressure to pay quickly because an “internal offer is almost gone”.
- Reports of a “system error” to ask for more money.
- Contact only through private messages, with no public details.
Why book through official channels:
- Clear, transparent confirmation.
- Good prices, publicly committed.
- The latest promotions and offers.
- Timely advice and support with any question.
