From Garden to Table at Le Palmier Long An

Golden melons from the greenhouse, fruit from the orchard and herbs from the organic garden — how the countryside finds its way onto your plate at Le Palmier Long An.

Le Palmier · 22 September 2026

At Le Palmier Long An, the distance between the garden and the kitchen is a short walk. Much of what is served at the Mekong Countryside Restaurant grows on the resort grounds, and guests are welcome to see — and help with — the harvest.

The melon greenhouse

Rows of golden melons hang in the greenhouse, ripening slowly in the warm, filtered light. Picking them with friends, in a conical hat, has become one of the favourite moments of a stay.

Harvest time in the orchard

Each season the orchard brings something new to pick. Join the gardeners for a morning and you will leave with muddy shoes and a basket of fruit.

On the table

The Mekong Countryside Restaurant, open daily from 06:30 to 21:30, cooks rustic Southern Vietnamese dishes with this farm-to-table produce. In the afternoon, tea is served the Southern way — a simple, unhurried pause.
