1. Where is Bài Khem?
Khem Beach, also known simply as Kem Beach, is located in the south of Phu Quoc, about 25km from the former Duong Dong ward. This "hidden gem" was only discovered by locals in 2009, after the military ceased to manage the area.

Visiting Phu Quoc in any season offers unique and interesting experiences. The dry season, from October to March, rarely sees rain, with gentle sunshine, calm waves, and tranquil seas. Therefore, it's not surprising that the atmosphere at Khem Beach during this season is incredibly vibrant, a complete contrast to the rainy months.
However, the rain in Phu Quoc is quite different from other provinces and cities. Here, it mostly rains in the early morning and isn't too heavy. So, if your time is limited, visiting Khem Beach during the rainy season (April to September) isn't a bad idea either!
3. Directions to Khem Beach
Khem Beach is not far from the old Duong Dong ward, so many tourists often choose motorbikes as their mode of transportation. To get to Khem Beach, you have two routes to choose from:

Route 1: Drive your motorbike along the old Duong Dong road towards the Phu Quoc prison historical site, then turn right. Once you see the sign indicating the military zone, continue for another 4km to reach the site.

Route 2: From the old Duong Dong ward, follow the road opposite Cafe 252 to get there. This road has many potholes and is quite narrow, so be careful if you're driving in the rain. However, the scenery along the way is very beautiful, and you can stop to take pictures.
